چکیده

Abstract Determination of sample size (the number replications) is a key step in the design an observational study or randomized experiment. Statistical procedures for this purpose are readily available. Their treatment textbooks often somewhat marginal, however, and frequently focus on just one particular method inference (significance test, confidence interval). Here, we provide unified review approaches explain their close interrelationships, emphasizing that all rely standard error quantity interest, most pairwise difference two means. The methods easy to compute, even without computer. Our main recommendation based errors summarized as what call 1-2-3 rule
